Twitter Chat Highlights

Well, it was my first Twitter Chat. I’ll declare it a success because of what I learned!

My Lesson 1. It takes a LOT of time and thinking to prepare to be the “guest” on a twitter chat. The responses to the questions must fit into the 280 character limit, so you have to prepare each reply with efficient accuracy.

Q1: What does it mean to transform, and how does that relate to education?

My Lesson 2. You can jazz up your responses with graphics, but those take time and thought too!

Q2: What does it look like to make education inclusive and accessible for all?

My Lesson 3. If you have more to say, you can break it into chunks – 1/3, 2/3, 3/3.

Q6: To transform communities & neighborhoods, what kind of education institutions should we build?

My Lesson 4: It’s possible that the host group could have readers who don’t respond or ask questions.

Q7: Transforming education cannot be done without involving educators; how can educators be equipped and empowered in their mission of developing the next generation of lifelong learners?

My Lesson 5: The whole process was well worth it because it required me to think about the purpose of my consulting from a global perspective.
