Joyful Inclusion Action Network
In the spirit of Mother Teresa, I’m excited to tell you that I’m forming the Joyful Inclusion Action Network!
Those of you who know me, are aware that I’ve been heading in this direction for a long time. For more than 50 years, I’ve sparked projects and contributed to efforts that I thought would change the frustrating aspects of our educational system. In many ways, we’ve made progress. But the time has come to get really serious about transforming education!
Too many students don’t graduate!
Too many students with disabilities (and without) are unprepared for this world with lifelong learning and self-efficacy skills.
AND too many bighearted teachers leave the field!
I know many of you haven’t given up either. You’ve been trying to do your part in your corner of the world, joining with like-minded colleagues. It’s time for us all to join forces.
The Joyful Inclusion Action Network needs a platform, right?
So I’ve explored options and decided that a private Facebook Group is the way to go. We can hold discussions, post useful resources, host live virtual events, and celebrate victories (big & small). It even has a tab for “guides” -- let’s see what we can do with that part!
By the way, “leaders in the field” is YOU.
Leadership is influence. Everything you do will influence others -- your own family, your learners, your colleagues, the families of your children. As they say, “Everyone brightens a room -- some when they enter; some when they leave.”
How will you use YOUR influence?
So - right now, before you forget - join our Joyful Inclusion Action Network with this link.
